Abstract

상악동에 점막비후 양상을 보이는 환자 16명의 전산화단층사진을 절대기준으로 하여 같은
환자의 Waters 방사선사진만을 판독하는 경우와 Waters 방사선사진과 파노라마방사선사진
을 동시에 판독하는 경우의 민감도, 특이도, 진단정확도를 조사하고 치과방사선과 전공자군
과 비전공자군에 따른 차이와 상악동 각 벽에 따른 차이를 비교 조사하여 다음과 같은 결론
을 얻었다.
1) 전공자군에서 Waters방사선사진의 민감도, 특이도, 진단정확도는 각각 0.7250, 0.8489,
0.7578로 나타났다.
2) 전공자군에서 민감도와 진단정확도는 비전공자군에 비해 높았으나 (P<0.05) 특이도에
는 유의한 차이가 없었다 (P>0.05).
3) 전공자군의 특이도를 제외하고는 전공자군과 비전공자군 모두에서 Waters방사선사진
만을 판독한 경우와 파노라마방사선사진을 참고로 하여 Waters방사선 사진을 판독한 경우
에 유의한 차이가 없었다(P>0.05).
4) 민감도와 진단정확도는 내측벽에서 각각 0.8163, 0.8271로 가장 높았으며 특이도는 후
측벽에서 0.9600으로 가장 높았다.
5) 후측벽과 상벽에서는 전공자군의 민감도와 진단정확도가 비전공자군에 비해 높았다
(P<0.05).

With the CT findings as gold standard, the sensitivity, the specificity, and the
diagnostic accuracy of Waters' radiography and Waters' radiography with panoramic
radiography were compared in the diagnosis of antral mucosal thickening of 16 patients.
Three oral radiologists and three non-oral radiologists interpreted the Waters'
radiographs and after 4 weeks, interpreted the Waters' radiographs and panoramic
radiographs simultaneously.
The interpretation point was the existence or the non-existence of the mucosal
thickening on the medial, the posterolateral, the floor, and the roof of maxillary sinus.
The obtained results were as followed :
1. In oral radiologist group, the sensitivity, specificity and diagnostic accuracy of
Waters' film were 0.7250, 0.8489 and 0.7578 respectively.
2. The sensitivity and the diagnostic accuracy in oral radiologist group were higher
than those of non-oral radiologist group (P<0.05), but there was no significant difference
between two groups in the specificity (P>0.05).
3. There was no significant difference of the diagnostic abilities except the specificity
in oral radiologist group between Waters' radiography and Waters' radiography with
panoramic radiography(P>0.05).
4. The sensitivity and the diagnostic accuracy were the highest in the case of medial
wall interpretation, the specificity was the highest in the posterolateral wall.
5. In the posterolateral wall and the floor, the sensitivity and the diagnostic accuracy
of oral radiologist group were higher than those of non-oral radiologist group (P<0.05).
